Bien Hoa – Vung Tau Expressway (the whole route is coded as CT.28)[1] is a section of the expressway system of Vietnam in the Southeast region of Vietnam. With a total length of 77.6 km, this expressway, when completed, will connect Dong Nai with Ba Ria – Vung Tau.
This expressway project was planned from 2015 to 2021 with the old code as CT.13 and the end point of the route only reached Ba Ria City.
Although Decision 1454/QD-TTg does not specifically mention the connecting section between the North-South Eastern Expressway (Ben Luc-Long Thanh Expressway) and the Ho Chi Minh City-Long Thanh-Dau Giay Expressway (Dau Giay-Long Thanh section), according to Decision 1605/QD-BGTVT on investment in component project 2 of the Bien Hoa-Vung Tau Expressway, the Long Thanh-Tan Hiep section will be part of this route to synchronize with the North-South Eastern Expressway system.
The project starts at Vo Nguyen Giap route (National Highway 1) in Phuoc Tan ward, Bien Hoa city, Dong Nai province and ends at Cua Lap intersection in Ward 12, Vung Tau city, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province. Of which, the section passing through Dong Nai is about 34 km long and the section passing through Ba Ria-Vung Tau is about 19 km long.
