The Ben Luc – Long Thanh Expressway (the entire route is coded as CT.01) is a section of the expressway currently under construction in the North – South expressway system in the East. The route is 57.09 km long, connecting Ben Luc district, Long An province with Long Thanh district, Dong Nai province.
The Ben Luc – Long Thanh Expressway, once completed, will help inter-regional traffic in the West and Southeast regions without having to transit through Ho Chi Minh City. At the same time, the project also contributes to reducing traffic pressure on National Highway 1, National Highway 51; shortening the travel time from Long An to Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Ba Ria – Vung Tau and closing the entire route of Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3.
The expressway starts from My Yen intersection, connecting with Ho Chi Minh City – Trung Luong Expressway and Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 in My Yen commune, Ben Luc district, Long An province and ends at Tan Hiep intersection, connecting with Bien Hoa – Vung Tau Expressway and National Highway 51C in Phuoc Thai commune, Long Thanh district, Dong Nai province. Of which, 4.89 km of the expressway passes through Long An province including Ben Luc and Can Giuoc districts, 24.92 km passes through Ho Chi Minh City including Binh Chanh, Nha Be and Can Gio districts, and 27.28 km passes through Dong Nai province including Nhon Trach and Long Thanh districts.
